Thinking ahead ......

To 2007 so ordered more garlic for 99p for two bulbs from Fothergill - Garlic Wight as I hadn't got enough. I have garlic-mad relatives!

Ordered me spuds - Desiree, Charlotte, Arran Pilot and Picasso and a freebie bag of Moulin Rouge. That should just about do I think. Luuuurve spuds I do.

Got all my onion sets in but unfortunately a pheasant got under the mesh. Tsk! So had to replant most of them. Oh well it was a lovely day on the plot and no real harm done.

Shifted the manure I grew my spuds in and laid it all over a still weedy area and covered it up with black sheet mulch. Hopefully by next spring the manure will have disappeared and the whole patch will be weed free. Dream on .........

I've got two builders rubble sacks filled with manure which I can't really be bothered to empty and wondered if I might grow spuds in em next year. Might just top them up with fresh stuff and give it a whirl.
