Still acres of black plastic!

Peeled 2m strip of the mulch back this morning to reveal weed free soil underneath. Ladled a load of well rotted manure over it as I need somewhere to plant spuds.

The remaining six metre width of plastic (which has been in place for well over a year) is apparently weed free underneath but we turned over a forkful for a look-see and there's still couch under there. After umming and aahing we decided to go for planting spuds in it as when the spuds have churned the soil up the couch will be easier to pull out. Hmmm .....
