First Pickled Onions

Never pickled an onion before so venturing into unchartered waters. Grown these pickling onions from seed and planted them out as babies. Harvested them yesterday in the pouring rain and have them soaking in salt water ready for the spiced vinegar stage. I'm really quite excited about the whole pickling thing as it's something I've never had time to do before. Something very satisfying about it and I'm sure that once I get the hang of it there'll be a pickling frenzy. Well that's if there's owt left after the torrential rains!
