Flaming June!

Was a complete washout with rotten onions and plants either rotting off or just sitting there sulking. It's been difficult to plant anything as the rain has been more or less constant. On a more positive note my Arran Pilot spuds are brilliant. Not checked on the others yet but I reckon they should be plentiful too. The brassicas have done really well - if a bit slugged, and I've had tonnes of broc, calabrese and cauli. Picked this Minicole cabbage last night but it's not exactly mini and will do us two meals. Apparently they stand for months without deteriorating, even in wet weather and won't split, which saves having to harvest them all at once. Reckon I'll be growing them again
Today has been wonderfully hot and sunny and I managed to get a full day on the plot just tidying up and unearthing spuds. The yield from one small bag of Arran Pilots has been huge but I reckon we'll be eating them every day of the week for the foreseeable future. Then there's the Charlottes, Moulin Rouge, Desirees and Picasso. Oh well I have plenty of hungry relatives
