Happy New Year!

Here we are again at the start of a brand new lottying year. Any day soon we shall learn of our site's fate as the council tries desparately to put paid to our plans and would have us shop at Tesco like everyone else! Hopefully we shall be successful in stuffing the council and keep hold of our beloved plots. Well enough of that for now.

Have a look at me Cavolo Nero (thanks to Ade for the seeds). Looks gorgeously healthy. I keep adding it to soups and minestrone etc. Not eaten any on its own yet (well, I say on its own) I mean with butter, salt and black pepper, oh and perhaps a bit of whole grain mustard! I'll cook some up that way this weekend and report back.

The celeriac look horrible but make excellent eating!
